The yoga classes are suited to people of all levels. The combination of gentle moving, stretching and twisting together with deep breathing, speeds up the detox process. Through the practice of yoga one can find an inner peace and stillness, which reduces the toxic effects of stress and anxiety. Often during a fast, when the putrefied deposits are being eliminated from the system, old and sometimes forgotten emotions may surface. Yoga can help to deal with these.

Meditation is that time and space, devoted to becoming more aware of yourself in the present moment. The more we know about ourselves the more opportunity we have to live our lives in harmony with our deepest desires.

“Nutrition Classes”

Our classes on Health and Nutrition are designed to inform you about the necessity of a healthy diet. We stress the importance of eating vegetarian food and drinking plenty of water, improving digestion. Having good digestion strengthens our immune system, which prevents disease.

“Cleansing Mud Packs”

Mud packs are used for withdrawing toxins from our skin and replenishing essential minerals to the body. They also has a great curative effect on various types of skin disorders and relive pain in the joints and other parts of the body.

“Mutual Support”

While we do not lead formal group sharing sessions, we do encourage our groups to share their experiences with each other in an empathetic way. There is much mutual support to be gained between people engaged in an experience, both from their similarities and their differences. Our facilitators are always on-hand to provide information and empathy.

“A clean slate to write your new life upon”

For many of our clients we provide a life-changing experience. A place in which to turn around their relationships to food, their bodies, and themselves. We provide you with the necessary knowledge of how to go about these procedures without the daily assistance of “professionals”. This is done with the highest degree of quality, in both the attention and information given.

“The most educational health retreat available”

The result is that we are an educational resource for those who wish to detoxify, and understand what achieving health means. Although the venue we use is of the highest standard, we are NOT a luxury “Health Farm” offering blissful pampering. Our aim is to put your health back in your hands.

Meditation is the yoga practice that helps a person to develop mentally and spiritually. There are many forms of meditation, but the meditation taught at Simply Sentient Detox is based on the principle “as you think so you become”. In meditation one should concentrate one’s mind on a positive and uplifting thought. If one does this on a regular basis it leads to a profound state of peace and harmony.

Our instructors, who have years of experience, will show you how to meditate using proven techniques that will enable you to withdraw your mind from the distractions of the “outside” world and concentrate within.

Meditation quiets the central nervous system, lowers blood pressure by as much as 20% and has a profound effect on physical health. In addition the regular practice of meditation builds up a person’s capacity to pay attention and learn anything, making it the best form of mental exercise.

As the mind is drawn within we experience a deeper sense of peace and harmony with life by concentrating on the infinite. With a calm body, a controlled mind and a blissful spirit, we become more ideal human beings, who are ready to render dynamic social service to the world.

Yoga is an ancient system of techniques for all-round health and well being of the individual. These techniques have been tested and refined over thousands of years, and are available to anyone willing to learn them. The scientific and easy-to-learn exercises provide a practical, natural and holistic way to achieve health and vitality. Yoga is not a religion. Anyone from any faith can practice the techniques.

“What are toxins?”

Toxins are subtances capable of causing our bodies harm. Every day our bodies consume toxins from our fast and modern life style. Toxins enter our bodies from many sources such as fast foods, smoking, coffee, skin products and even breathing the air. Today more than ever, we are exposed to stress, sleep deprivation, lack of exercise, chemicals, pesticides, food additives, radiation, drugs, animal fats, low nutritional quality foods, bad eating habits and the list goes on. The end result of our current situation is a lower quality of life, shorter life span and progressive illnesses that most of us pass-off as just getting old.

The removal of these toxins is essential for healthy body function. Your colon works hard to eliminate putrefying food, bacteria, viruses, indigestible chemicals, and fermented waste from your body. If the colon is overworked the toxins will build up and that’s when the problems start to emerge.

The evacuation of stool only once a day can result in 85% of bowel toxins being reabsorbed into the bloodstream. The colon becomes saturated with harmful toxins, which leads to a process called ‘auto intoxication’. This means that toxic substances get into the bloodstream and pollute the your entire body. The lymphatic glands, circulatory system, lungs and kidneys become over-worked and when these systems are unable to cope with the toxic overload your body becomes run down and serious health issues start to emerge.

“Food Toxins”

Most processed foods contain large amounts of chemicals. Artificial hormones are given to cows to produce more milk, chickens to lay more eggs, pesticides in vegetables so they retain a fresh look for longer period.

“Toxins in the Air”

Standing next to a smoker you are breathing in the chemicals from his cigarette, walking in the streets we breath in carbon monoxide fumes from motor cars, pesticide toxins sprayed on gardens, aerosol cans.

“Toxins in the skin”

Toxins are absorbed into our bodies every time we apply sun tan lotion, mosquito repellents, perfume, makeup; even skin care products have chemicals that are absorbed into the skin.

“Radiation Toxins”

Radiation toxins are emitted into the body from use of mobile phone, watching TV too close, even computer screens omits radiation toxins in small amounts. Our bodies are designed to remove toxins from our bodies but traces of toxic residue remains and slowly builds up in your body causing most of the major heath problems we encounter.

“The effects of Toxic build up in the body”

Toxins in the body create a massive work load on the liver, kidneys, lymphatic glands, intestines, colon, blood, lungs and strains the brain. When your body is subjected to this massive strain, heath problems will start to emerge. Some of the more common problems observed include: addiction to cigarettes and alcohol, head aches, mood swings, PMS, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS), lack of energy and motivation, skin irritation / dermatitis / eczema, allergies, chronic body fatigue, slow recovery from exercise and reduction in memory. The accumulation of physical and emotional stress is the end result of toxic build up in the body. Many people attribute this to aging and accept these unhealthy feelings as normal. However, with the Detox program you will remove the toxic build up in your body and enjoy the results of a healthy body and an improved quality of life.

“Detox your body”

An aching body, low energy level and exhausted mind are clear indications that it’s time to detox your body. It’s a well know fact that regular fasting is the best way to detox. It’s a highly effective means of getting in tune with your body and purging the internal system to get rid of accumulated toxins.
Fasting is the quickest way of bringing about elimination in the body and the fastest way of getting toxic materials out of the body.
